Well next year when the Texas Rangers take the field, the pitching staff will have a different look. Netaly Feliz goes from relief pitcher to starter. This has been
talked about for a long time in the Rangers camp. The reason for the change is Joe Nahan. The new relief pitcher who spent his career with Minnesota is now your new closer. And he is real good for the Rangers to lock him up for two years. What that means for C J Wilson? He is fielding offers from the Yankees and Angels, which means he might not be a Ranger for long. The one thing that Feliz must do is build his endurance to handle a starting pitching load. 2 innings at a time is not ca
game make. And he must add a extra pitch to his game plan. Fast balls can be predictable if that is all you have. So the Rangers pitching staff has changes on both ends of the line up. The pitching staff crashed and burned in the 6th game of the World Series, and pitching wins championships.
It's official. Tom Hicks is out of the sports ownership business. Having the Rangers and Stars in your stable went from good to bad. And both teams went to backruptcy court to get things solved. Enter Tom Gaglardi, businessman from Vancouver, Canada. Who has relatives in East Texas. He is the new owner of the Dallas Stars. And he will have two important people at the top who has experience with the Stars franchise, and has Stanley Cup Chanpionship experience. General Manager Joe Niewendyk, who played with the Stars during their Stanley Cup Championship season in 1999, and recent inductee in Hockey's Hall of Fame. And returning to the Stars is Jim Lites, who was the President of the Stars when they arrived in town in 1993. With that leadership at the top, along with the youth and excitement on the ice with Coach Glen Gultzman leading the way, I feel the Stars are on the way back to the sucess they had in the 1990's.
