Mitt Romney says he's 'right answer' in new TV ad

Mitt Romney is going on the air today in New Hampshire, with a new TV ad proclaiming himself the "right answer" to the question of how to boost the economy.
The GOP presidential hopeful has consistently led public opinion polls in New Hampshire, where he has a vacation home and is well known from his days as Massachusetts governor. Romney, however, is now lagging nationally behind former House speaker Newt Gingrich.
"I spent my life in the private sector. I've competed with companies around the world. I've learned something about how it is that economies grow," he says in the ad.
National Journal says the ad buy is about $85,000 for spots airing on WMUR-TV through Dec. 6.
Romney, who had $14.65 million in the bank at the end of September, was widely criticized for his first TV ad of the 2012 campaign.
In that spot, he uses words uttered by then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008: "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose." The ad does not say, however, that Obama was actually quoting an adviser to GOP nominee John McCain at the time.
Romney's emphasis on his wide range of experiences -- from private-sector business to elected office to running the 2002 Winter Olympics -- has been a constant theme in his campaign. He's couched himself as a the best candidate to take on Obama, and has now dismissed GOP rivals Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich as career politicians.
