The only person that is really benefiting from the DFW sports player movement is the person who runs Bekins Moving and Storage. Lots of going and comings in the DFW with in one week. It's making our head spin, but let's start with someone who is staying. And he was almost out the door.
SMU announced that they are going to the Big East Conference in 2013. When that announcement was taking place, Mustangs Head Coach June Jones was heading west. To Arizona State, to accept the head coaching position there. Everything was in place, the contract was drawn waiting for June Jones to cross the t's and dot the I's. It was his job to take and say yes. But something happened on the way to the land of cactus and lovely sunsets as Arizona State officials pulled the offer off the table. The deal to bring June Jones out west was nixed, and the run and shoot won't happen in the Valley of the Sun. June Jones remains the SMU Mustangs Coach, but he will have some patching up to do with the Athletic Department, school officials, allumi, students, and the players. SMU has a game with Pittsburgh in the BBVA Compass Bank Bowl on January 7 in Birmingham. Lots of time to establish the game plan, and to re establish trust with everyone that is involved in the Mustangs camp.
Pitcher C.J. Wilson called Bekins for a move out west. The former Rangers pitcher is now with the AL West rivals Los Angeles Angeles, who made the big buzz during the winter meetings in Dallas. The C. J. Wilson move followed up the previous Angeles move getting Albert Puljos from St. Louis. There is a power shift in the AL West after the Rangers won the division back to back. Now, all that money that was reserved for C.J, they can now use it to get Prince Fielder to play first base. Rangers should not let their grip on the division slip before spring training.
When the Dallas Mavericks take the court on Christmas day to defend the NBA Title, they will look different. They will wear new uniforms, and new players will be in them. Dirk will be there, and so will Jason Kidd and Jason Terry. Tyson Chandler won't be there, he's a NY Knick. Caron Butler is a Clipper, and JJ Barea
